Thinking of Joining the NIKTT Network? Here's What You Need to Know

What is the NIKTT Network?

The NIKTT Community of Interest Network (NIKTT Network) is a diverse group of stakeholders committed to improving access to kidney transplantation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Currently, the Network functions as an interest register rather than a formalised committee with appointed roles and scheduled meetings. As interest grows, it may evolve to include more structure, with appointed representatives who will lead coordinated action and advise on national strategies to improve equity in transplantation.

Who can join the Network?

We are eager to work with and support anyone interested in improving access to kidney transplantation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in Australia. This includes:

How do I join?

You can join the NIKTT Network via the link below. You'll be asked a few questions about yourself to help us tailor information, opportunities, and resources.

The National Indigenous Kidney Transplantation Taskforce is funded by the Commonwealth, represented by the Department of Health, in contract with the Transplantation Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ) and the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), housed within Australia and New Zealand Dialysis and Transplant Registry (ANZDATA). The NIKTT's main operations take place on Kaurna Country.
